The Learn to Sail course is a combination of dry land instruction and water-based training for a total of 20 hours. The course includes principles of sailing but also includes basic water safety. Everything from proper flotation devices to righting of capsized vessels is included.

This course is offered at Cultus Lake at the club launch location (at the south end of Sunnyside Blvd).

The following Courses listed below are currently available. More may be added in the future. If you would like Private instruction or have a group of your own, please contact us for more information.

Children and Youth Programs:

There are Beginner and Intermediate courses which follow the Canadian Yachting Association (CYA) White Sail Curriculum. They use the 14' 420 Class boat and the 9' Sabot.

August 2-5, Tuesday - Friday, 9-4:30

Adult Classes:

A similar course is available for adults who wish to learn how to sail. It covers Water Safety, terminology, knots and sailing skills.
